2025 CHW Pediatric Training Program | March 3rd, 2025 - May 23rd, 2025
This is a virtual, self-guided training with facilitator support and optional learning collaboratives. This training is run in two parts with a two-week break between learning sessions. Please see below for training details.

Foundations of a Pediatric Community Health Worker: March 3rd - April 14th
A 6-week training on core skills for Pediatric Community Health Workers including social determinants of health (SDOH), documentation skills, community outreach, and family-centered care.
This training includes two optional virtual learning collaboratives. In learning collaboratives, CHWs will have an opportunity to connect with each other, share resources, discuss a specific training topic:
- Optional Learning Collaborative: March 18th (12-1pm)
- Optional Learning Collaborative: April 2nd (4-5pm)
After completing Foundations of a Pediatric Community Health Worker, learners will continue with one of the following trainings. At this time, learners can only complete one of the following learning tracks:
Early Childhood Relational Health: May 5th – May 23rd
This course will cover physical, social, and emotional development for children age 0-5 and provide tools for partnering with families. Additionally, this training includes one optional virtual learning collaborative:
- Optional Early Childhood Relational Health Learning Collaborative: May 19th (12-1pm)
K-12 Mental and Behavioral Health: May 5th – May 23rd
This training will cover mental health diagnosis and healthcare, strategies for combating stigma, and tools for partnering with families, including advocacy in schools. Additionally, this training includes one optional virtual learning collaborative:
- Optional K-12 Mental and Behavioral Health Learning Collaborative: May 20th (12-1pm)
