Welcome to the Washington Community Health Worker Training Program!
Are you a community health worker, promotor de salud, patient navigator, or mutual aid worker? We know how hard you work for the community. You deserve support, resources, and training. The Community Health Worker Training Program (CHWTP) is designed to strengthen the skills and knowledge of community health workers with a focus on documentation, advocacy, healing justice, and social determinants of health (SDOH).
The CHWTP is open to all community health workers. Trainings include:
- CHW Core Competency Course
- Health Specific Modules
- Pediatric CHW course
We offer trainings in both English and in Spanish. All course graduates will receive a certificate of completion.
Please note: Some CHWTP courses used to be hybrid in the past with first and last-day in-person sessions and weekly online modules. However, all upcoming courses will be remote-only with required first and last-day webinars, regarding recent DOH required travel restrictions.
